This is Carlos stepping in for Ron, thanks for patiently waiting. Upon checking, we have found that the ESP32-WROOM-32U, which is the model this board evaluates, does have an antenna, as depicted at page 23 of its datasheet:

You have the correct 2d image for the 32u devkit but the footprint and 3d model are for 32d devkit. The 32u has an ipex connector indented into the top right corner where the 32d devkit only has pcb antenna

You are correct. We have changed the tested part on the 3D model to ESP32-WROOM-32U. Please download this part again, and use it in your designs.
