It would appear that essentially the same pcb footprint has been captured for both the male and female connectors
ASP-208571-01 isn't female Samtec and mates with ASP-184330-01 is male ?
Is it anticipated that the pin one alignment required for board to board be made during pcb device placement ?
I would have expected that the component side view of their pcb footprints be mirrored in the pcb library ?
There appears to be a gender mismatch for ASP- versus SEAM- and SEAF- part number designations ?

do appear to be gender correct mated pairs in digikey and snapeda
but ? there is a gender issue with the ASP-208571 somewhere ??

This is Carlos stepping in for Ron, thanks for patiently waiting. The part numbers ASP-208571-01 and ASP-184330-01 both refer to male headers, which share the same pad sequence, with the Y1 pad located at the top right corner. The main difference between these two part numbers is that ASP-208571-01 features tin/lead plated tails, whereas ASP-184330-01 is lead-free.
For compatible connectors, ASP-208571-01 pairs with ASP-208573-01, and ASP-184330-01 pairs with ASP-184329-01.
About SEAM-40-03.5-L-14-1-A-K-TR and SEAF-40-06.5-S-14-2-A-K-TR, we have confirmed that they are compatible mates, which results in a mirrored pad sequence.
