which ic is more prefered for pwm generation ?

give me the list of IC s that are used because of having controllable frequency and duty cycle which have low input current and good resolution for wide range of frequency ( 1 hz to more than 200 k hz ) and duty cycle from 1 to 100 with good resolution and having well maximum out put current . thanks!

For PWM generation with a wide frequency range (around 1 Hz to >200 kHz), adjustable duty cycle (1–100%), low input current, and good resolution, some commonly used IC options are:

Analog PWM ICs:
TLC555 / NE555 – Simple, low-power, wide frequency and duty-cycle range.
TL494, SG3525 – Designed for power electronics, 0–100% duty cycle, good output drive and stability.

Dedicated PWM / Digital ICs:
LTC6992 – Very wide frequency range, 0–100% duty cycle, low power, and good resolution.

Microcontroller-based PWM:
ATTiny85 or STM32 – Provide high-resolution PWM and very flexible control over both frequency and duty cycle.

These options are well-established and commonly chosen for PWM applications requiring flexibility, low input current, good resolution and a wide operating range.
